World Vegan Day is an annual event celebrated by vegans around the world, that includes activities, organised lunches or dinners, outreach in local communities, and sharing of recipes.

When did World Vegan Day start?

World Vegan Day began officially in 1994, after the chair of The Vegan Society, Louise Wallis, conceived it as a way to commemorate fifty years since the coinage of the terms vegan and veganism.

Christina Leopold's instagram @AddictedToDates has over 128k followers, and combined with her blog, helps her utilise her passion for photography, recipe development, and photo editing to spread the vegan message.

Leopold started her vegan journey by doing a 30 day "vegan" challenge, thinking that if she could do that, then she would be able to continue the lifestyle. We think we can guess how it went! Christina has become famous for her 'veganized' versions of regular desserts and her incredible food photography.
